CVD diamond  can  be coated on SiC, Silicon chips, cemented  carbide or other materials so as to improve the mechanical performances and to enhance their friction proof properties. Due to its highest acoustic velocity among all materials and its other excellent properties, diamond is a good choice to be the utmost substrate material for high frequency(>=GHz) surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices.
